Star Spencer's Campbell Signs with Oklahoma

OKLAHOMA CITY—Star Spencer’s Sharane Campbell signed her official letter of intent to play at the University of Oklahoma next year.

The 5’10 forward/guard is one of four girls who signed to play with Sherri Coale and the Sooners on the first day of the open signing period.

“I just can’t wait to get up there and see what kind of player they will make me into because I know that with their coaches and my athleticism I think that I can be really good,” Campbell said.

Campbell says she felt right at home at OU since her first visit to campus.

With her signing out of the way, Campbell says she is going to concentrate on her ball handling and outside shots in order to become a better all around player.

ESPNU HoopGurlz100 ranked Campbell as the number 17 overall small forward in the country.

Campbell says she is looking forward to next year and that she “wants to go there and help them try and win a championship.”
