MUSTANG, Oklahoma -- The Mustang Broncos (7-2) beat the Westmoore Jaguars (5-4) 43-7, after the two teams were both tied for the second position in District 6A-2.

The stakes were high.

Only one team could come out with a win and clinch home field advantage for the opening round of the playoffs. As if that weren’t enough, Westmoore’s head coach Billy Langford was playing for pride, having coached at Mustangs in seasons prior.

Langford’s defense had given up just 10 points of less on average in each of their last five games, but Mustang had averaged over 42 points per game this season.

Mustang’s receiver David Glidden played another huge game. While he spoke after the game about his personal achievements, he was quick to give credit to his team’s offense.

The Broncos may ride the high of this win for a few days, but they’ll have to narrow their focus on that Del City Eagles, who will be coming off a 49-0 shutout in week nine and looking to secure their position in the playoffs.

The Jags will travel to top-ranked Lawton for their final game of the regular season.
