EDMOND, Oklahoma – Last week, Deer Creek was in a tough spot, as defending 5A champ Guthrie took out its aggression on the Antlers.
This week, Deer Creek took its turn getting its aggression out with a 69-13 win against Southeast.
The Antlers got off to a quick start, with quarterback Alex Christensen taking it in for the first score of the game to put his team up 7-0.
Shortly after, Christensen handed off to running back Brennan Miyake for another score to put the Antlers up 14-0, and the rout was on.
Southeast’s highlight of the night came from quarterback Jay Gogue, who pulled off an 85-yard touchdown run for the Spartans.
The Spartans (3-2) will host Carl Albert on Friday. Deer Creek (3-2) will head to El Reno.
