MOORE, Oklahoma -- The Moore Lions fell to their arch rivals, the Westmoore Jaguars, 21-14 in their first game of the season.

The game, known as the Moore War, marked the 23rd time the two teams met.

The heated rivalry continued this year, as Westmoore’s Lionard Fombe handed the ball off to running back Cody Feuerborn for the 5 yard touchdown, putting the Jags ahead 7-0.

They were able to hold off the Lions for the 21-14 win.

The Westmoore Jaguars will play Southmoore SaberCats in Week 2, while the Moore Lions face the Norman Tigers.
