Western Heights Advances to State with Overtime Win

NORMAN, Oklahoma -- Western Heights defeated Duncan in overtime 60-53 at Norman North High School Saturday to advance to the state tournament in Tulsa next week.

The Lady Jets cruised out to a 10-0 lead in the first quarter, but the Lady Demons rallied back to cut the deficit to three at the end of the first quarter.

Duncan's Hannan Allen was a thorn in Western Height's side in the first half, connecting on five 3-pointers. Allen scored 15 of her 18 points in the first half. Western Heights led by three points heading into halftime.

Western Heights’ Dilan Webster had a game-high 23 points.
