OKLAHOMA CITY – The Hammon Warriors upset the Glencoe Panthers 35-34 Thursday to advance to the Class B semifinals.
Hammon trailed by four with less than two minutes left and began intentionally fouling the Panthers, who failed to put the game away with their free throws. The Warriors erased the lead in the final minute and held on for the victory.
Glencoe came into the game ranked No. 4 in the state and had lost only two games all season. Hammon improved to 23-7 with the win and will now move on to face Red Oak in the semifinals at 9 a.m. Friday.
