BIXBY, Oklahoma – One night after falling two points short against Okarche in the area tournament, the Porter Pirates redeemed themselves by advancing to the Class A state tournament with a 46-36 win over Depew.
Jacob Richardson was the leading scorer for the Pirates with a game-high 17 points. Andrian Mosley also reached double digits in the scoring column with 16.
The game was close for much of the contest with Porter leading 19-18 at the half and Depew leading 28-27 at the end of the third. The Pirates would eventually pull away in the fourth quarter.
