OKLAHOMA CITY – John Marshall’s quest for a 4A Gold Ball started Friday against Santa Fe South. The Bears wasted little time putting away the Saints 85-27 in district play of the tournament.
The Bears' pressure defense helped erase a close game after the first quarter. John Marshall opened the second quarter with a 16 to11 advantage, by halftime their lead was up to 29 points. John Marshall outscored the Saints, 57-8 in the second and third quarter.
John Marshall’s DeAndre Prince led all scorers with 25 points, teammate Tavion Fleeks added 19 points.
