MIDWEST CITY, Oklahoma – In a game between two top-10 teams, Shawnee dominated Carl Albert on the way to a 49-27 victory.
Carl Albert, which entered the night ranked No. 1 in Class 5A, had shooting woes from the start. The Titans scored just 13 points in the first half and Shawnee took a 12-point lead into halftime.
Things did not get any better for Carl Albert in the second half. Shawnee sophomore Kelsey Grovey outscored the Titans by herself with 28 points. Kylie Mays led the Titans with seven points as the Titans did not have a single scorer in double figures.
