MIDWEST CITY, Oklahoma – In a battle between two of Class 6A’s top 10 teams, Midwest City broke away from Southmoore in the fourth quarter for a 60-48 victory Thursday.

The Bombers led by most of the game, but failed to break the game open until late. They held a five-point lead at halftime. That was cut to three points as the fourth quarter started, but Midwest City went on a 13-3 run to close the game.

Xavier McClish led Midwest City with 15 points, while teammates Greg Austin added 14.

Both teams play their next game on Friday, with Midwest City facing Norman on Friday and Southmoore facing Moore.
