OKLAHOMA CITY -- As the playoffs approached, some took it as a given that Jenks would be back in the Class 6A championship to battle Union again.
Though, you’d be hard-pressed to get anyone at either school to echo those sentiments.
Each school does its talking on the field.
The Jenks Trojans sent a roar across the Oklahoma sports landscape, defeating the highly-touted Southmoore SaberCats, 44-26. They’ll move to the title game to play – yes, you guessed it – the Union Redskins.
An early-season matchup went the way of Jenks as the Trojans trumped Union 27-25. Jenks improved to 13-0 while Union sits at 12-1 with just one blemish.
A blemish the Redskins are sure not to forget as they attempt their title defense.
