MIDWEST CITY, Oklahoma – The turnover bug hit the Midwest City Bombers hard against the Broken Arrow Tigers. Broken Arrow defeated the Bombers in the quarterfinals 24-17 at Rose Field.
Broken Arrow quarterback Archie Bradley finished with three touchdowns; two passing and one rushing.
“It was an awesome feeling,” Bradley said.
Bradley’s second touchdown pass in the game came with no time on the clock in the first half. Bradley connected with Alex Cochran for a 52-yard touchdown to give Broken Arrow a 14-3 lead at halftime.
“I think we left some points on the field,” coach Steve Huff said.
Midwest City scored a touchdown in the fourth quarter, to pull to within seven of the Tigers. The Bombers had a chance to tie the game in the 4th quarter, but their sixth and final tournover ruined their comeback chances.
Broken Arrow will face Union in the semifinals, while Midwest City finishes the year with a 9-3 record.
