Shawnee Looks to Remain Perfect against Bixby

The Shawnee Wolves will look to continue their perfect season as they host Bixby this Friday night in their 5A quarterfinal playoff matchup. The Wolves are currently 11-0 and are coming off a 43-13 win over Altus.

Bixby enters the matchup with a 7-4 record. The Spartans are coming off a 17-13 win over Tulsa Central in last week’s opening round.

Bixby is an opponent Shawnee Head Coach Bill Brown is familiar with. He has faced Bixby five out of the last ten seasons he has been at Shawnee.

“They have great tradition,” Brown said. “We have played them five times out of the past ten years I have been here. They are well-coached. The kids play hard. They do different things that we don’t see all the time with their defense so it’s a challenge for us. They’ll come ready to play.”
