CLAREMORE, Oklahoma-- The Cascia Hall Commandos narrowly escaped ruining their perfect 7-0 record Friday when they faced the Claremore Sequoyah Eagles.
The Eagles (7-2, 4-2) put 21 points on the board, just one successful touchdown run shy of an upset. The Commandos (8-0, 6-0) defense felt the pressure, but was able to hold the Eagles offense, particularly quarterback Cody Richardson’s ability to complete passes.
Cascia Hall’s tight end Randall Chavez made some big plays Friday night, reaching the end zone and keeping the Commandos ahead of the Eagles long enough to see the final seconds tick away and get the win.
The still-perfect Cascia Hall Commandos will host Blackwell November 6, as they gear up for the playoffs.
