DIBBLE, Oklahoma - The Dibble Demons are coming off a dismal season. Former OU assistant Charlie North takes over a program that went winless in 2008. Even though it is a big drop from the Big 12 to Class A, the game of football does not change.
"The things you have to do with one group is not that different from what you do with the other," North said. "It's just a little more of an elementary level as far as teaching. Some of these kids have never seen a football before."
North does not see any major college talent on his team at this time. However that will not stop any player from seeing the field.
"We didn't even count on starters," North said. "We just said hey, you compete and whoever is the best will play. We're gonna play themall, they will all play at one time or another. That's one thing I want to do, is if they wanna come out then they'll have an opportunity to play."
After a 0-10 season, the kitchen sink approach might drain the Demons blues.
