TULSA, Oklahoma -- The Giraffe Experience exhibit opens at 10 a.m. Friday at the Tulsa Zoo. The zoo's two new female giraffes and their male companion can be seen eye-to-eye from the elevated platform.
Daily morning chats with zookeepers will begin next month. Eventually the public will be able to hand feed giraffes under the supervision of zoo keepers.
The females are 2-year-old Pili and 4-year-old Lexi. With the new females and 17-foot tall Sam, the zoo hopes to resume its breeding program.
