This summer, six people have died in Oklahoma from heat-related illnesses. Since Tulsa reached 107 Wednesday afternoon, we broke the record temperature of 106 set in 1936.
The record-breaking heat is raising the risk of heat cramps, heat exhaustion and heat stroke. If you must spend time outdoors, be sure to drink lots of water and monitor yourself for symptoms of heat-related illnesses.
