TULSA, Oklahoma -- You'd have to be passionate about biking to cycle all the way across the country. The volunteers of "Bike and Build" are passionate about cycling and lending a helping hand along the way.

More than 30 riders made their way to Tulsa to help build homes for people in need. The Habitat Bicycle Challenge raises money and awareness for affordable housing during their 4,000 mile trip.

Cyclists travel from Maine to California making stops along the way to help out wherever they're needed.

"It's a lot of miles riding, and then we kinda look at build days as a day off the saddle... but days that were working really hard," said New York rider Melissa Ettman.

When the trip began, riders dipped their back tire in the Atlantic Ocean, and they'll finish by dipping their front tire in the Pacific. They'RE Set to leave Tulsa Wednesday.
