UNDATED -- Six Oklahoma students are heading to Sante Fe on Sunday to join the 2011 National Intertribal Youth Summit.

Westin Allen, Kaylee King, Larry Martinez and Faith O'Field of the Cherokee Nation and Caite Gann and Callie Gann from the Delaware Tribe will join 150 other young men and women July 24-28.

The leadership conference will address topics like healthy relationships and lifestyles, education, substance and alcohol abuse, cultural preservation, community development and protecting the environment, according to Thomas Scott Woodward, U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Oklahoma.

The students will also have a chance to meet directly with officials from the White House and several federal departments.

Actor Chaske Spencer from the Twillight movies and pro golfer Notah Begay will be special guests at the conference.

The students were nominated by their tribal youth program coordinators, and their applications were approved by the Department of Justice, Woodward said.
