TULSA, Oklahoma – It was announced Wednesday that Tulsa Shock center Elizabeth Cambage has been named as a replacement player for the 2011 WNBA All-Star Game.
Cambage will take the spot of Los Angeles Sparks center Candace Parker, who injured her knee last month and will be unable to play.
Cambage is averaging 13.6 points per game, with 5.3 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in her rookie campaign. The Shock selected the 19-year-old Australian with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2011 draft.
Cambage is one of 11 players making their first All-Star appearances, the most in the WNBA since 2000.
The 2011 WNBA All-Star game is Saturday at 2:30 p.m. in San Antonio.
