TULSA, Oklahoma -- The cause of a Sunday morning dumpster fire is under investigation by the Tulsa Fire Department. Captain Patrick Odell said the construction dumpster was full of sheet rock which is usually not too flammable.

The dumpster is located near a vacant house in the 1500 block of North Atlanta that was the site of a previous fire.

"There's no ignition source in a dumpster," Odell said. "It could have been a fire from oily rags thrown in there. We have the investigators coming because it's undetermined."

There have been other fires investigators believe were deliberately set in this neighborhood, starting about two weeks before the 4th of July weekend, Odell said.

"There's been several," the captain said. "We've been busy."

If you can help with the investigation, call the Arson hotline at 918-596-ARSN.
