TULSA, Oklahoma -- Hundreds of people were out braving the heat Saturday to make a difference in the community.
Nearly 300 volunteers showed up to help mow lawns, hand out flyers, and pick up trash in an effort to reach out to those in need... and all of it for free.
This year's slogan, "Touching a city by raising up a people."
"We've had a lot of excited people call in and say, ‘really you're coming in to mow my yard?' And we're like, ‘yes, we're coming to help you and visit you," Jenice Jones, Volunteer Director, said.
Together the volunteers reached out to over 40 different homes.
