LAKE TENKILLER, Oklahoma -- Another Oklahoma lake has come back positive for blue green algae.

Ross Adkins with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers says tests show several low lying areas around the Lake Tenkiller including Pine Creek Cove at Tenkiller State Park and the Strayhorn Landing Public Use Area have blue-green algae.

Adkins says the area in the far upper reaches of the lake around Horseshoe Bend are favorable for the development of blue green algae, due to the high nitrogen levels, but none has been found yet.

He says no areas of Lake Tenkiller have been closed off, but those getting into the water need to be aware and stay away from any algae bloom.
