TULSA, Oklahoma -- An overturned box truck caused significant traffic delays on the Broken Arrow Expressway.
Traffic delays lasted several hours, but the road re-opened shortly after 2 p.m., according to the Oklahoma Department of Transportation.
The crash took place Thursday morning on the Broken Arrow Expressway just west of Lewis near 21st Street.
Tulsa Police say the box truck was carrying food for the Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma and rolled onto its side when the driver tried to avoid a trailer that had come detached from another vehicle.
Police reduced eastbound traffic down to one lane as crews transferred food items from the truck to another vehicle.
Westbound traffic on the BA is not impacted.
There were no reports of injuries.
