Police Chase Stolen SUV From Catoosa To Downtown Tulsa

TULSA, Oklahoma -- A high-speed chase from Catoosa to downtown Tulsa ended with a man behind bars early Wednesday.

The chase started in Catoosa when Catoosa Police recognized a Hyundai SUV that had been reported stolen.

Officers attempted to pull the SUV over at I-44 and 193rd East Avenue, but the driver kept going.  Police say the driver threw several items out of the vehicle during the chase.

Tulsa Police laid out spike strips at I-244 and Cincinnati and those strips flattened one of the SUV's tires and stopped the chase.

The driver of the SUV was arrested and booked into the Tulsa County jail on complaints of possession of a stolen vehicle and eluding police.
