STILLWATER, Oklahoma -- A 29-year-old Tryon man has been charged with stealing 11 calves from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater.
Robert Godwin is charged with 11 counts of larceny of livestock.
In paperwork filed with the Payne County District Court, Oklahoma State University Police began investigating after someone stolen the 11 calves from land owned by OSU near Lake Carl Blackwell on June 18, 2011.
OSU Police say a person tried sell three of the calves at auction house in Perkins. The house contacted the sheriff' s office who along with OSU Police found 8 calves on property owned by Godwin's grandmother in Tryon.
The value of the calves is estimated at just under $8,000.
