TULSA, Oklahoma -- A 23-year-old motorcyclist is in a Tulsa hospital Wednesday morning after his bike struck the rear wheels of a semi's trailer. The crash took place in the 1800 block of North Garnett.

Shortly before 6:30 a.m., Tulsa Police say the semi's driver was pulling out onto Garnett and had to stop because of a motorcyclist going north at a high rate of speed.

As the truck driver was beginning to proceed, a second motorcyclist, who was also northbound, crested the hill.

Police say the cyclist skidded for about 150 feet before his bike struck the semi trailer's rear wheels.

EMSA says it transported the cyclist in serious condition to the hospital. The driver of the semi was not injured.
