Man Hands Teller Note, Takes Cash In Sand Springs Bank Robbery

SAND SPRINGS, Oklahoma -- Police are looking for a man who robbed a Sand Springs bank.

Police responded to the IBC Bank on Highway 97 South around 10 a.m. Tuesday.

Sand Springs Police say the suspect walked into the bank, wrote a robbery note on a deposit slip and handed it to a bank teller. The note implied he had a weapon, police say.

The suspect then took off on foot westbound on 34th Street with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a white male, 20 to 30 years of age, 5 foot 7 inches with a slender build. He was last seen wearing dark pants, a dark shirt, dark ball cap and sunglasses.

The FBI has been contacted to assist with the investigation.
