Popular Tulsa Restaurant Closes Its Doors For Good

TULSA, Oklahoma -- A popular Tulsa eatery has shut its doors for good.

The Marie Callender's restaurant on 51st Street near Harvard was one of nearly 60 slated to close as part of a bankruptcy filing by Perkins & Marie Callender's Inc, Marie Callender's parent company.

An employee of the Tulsa restaurant told News On 6 over the phone that it closed its doors Sunday evening.

The parent company sought Chapter 11 protection Monday, blaming an increase in food prices and a continued weak economy.

The chain operates 600 restaurants in North America.
