TULSA, Oklahoma -- A Tulsa County Sheriff Deputy is recovering Sunday from injuries he suffered after being dragged nearly 30 feet.

It happened during a routine traffic stop near North 33rd West Avenue and Admiral Saturday.

Authorities say the deputy stopped the 39-year-old suspect, Paul Lester Harris, and discovered he had a felony warrant out of Creek County.

As the deputy was walking back to Harris' car to make an arrest the suspect took off, dragging the entangled deputy 20-30 feet.

The deputy received minor injuries and was treated and released from a local hospital. The suspect is still at large.

If you have any information on this case you are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
