TULSA, Oklahoma -- An Oklahoma sailor crucial to the mission that took out Osama bin Laden is back home.

Lieutenant Chris Polson served on the air craft carrier Carl Vinson, the ship that launched the stealth Blackhawks carrying Seal Team Six and the ship from which bin Laden was buried at sea.

Even more impressive, Polson made it home to witness the birth of his very first child, a girl, due in four days.

"To be able to get back and be there for Marcy during the birth and everything is awesome," he said. "A lot of the people on the boat missed it. Missed that opportunity, a lot of the guys in our squadron, and to have the dates fall so close and be able to get back early is awesome."

Polson said he was only expecting his wife Marcy, his parents and his sister to greet him at the airport.
