TAHLEQUAH, Oklahoma -- The search for an 18-year-old man who disappeared while swimming on the Illinois River in Tahlequah came to an end Sunday.

The Oklahoma Scenic Rivers Commission says crews have recovered Xenepher Wiley Jr's body. He was found not far from where he went missing on Friday.

The teen had recently graduated from a St. Louis high school and moved to Tahlequah Thursday.

Recovery efforts were scaled back Sunday. Only two boats were on the river.
