TULSA, Oklahoma -- A Tulsa Police Officer shot and wounded a man who authorities say threatened officers with a knife.
Tulsa police responded to a domestic in progress call in the 700 block of South Maplewood just after midnight Sunday morning.
When police arrived, the intoxicated suspect came out of the house wielding a knife in each hand, police said.
Police say the officers drew their guns and told the suspect several times to drop his weapons, but the man didn't comply.
According to police, one officer opened fire at the approaching suspect, hitting him in the leg. The man was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Tulsa Police Internal Affairs is conducting an investigation into the shooting.
