I saw some good things calling games on radio for the OSU Cowboy Basketball team in Las Vegas this week.   The lady from Chicago splitting tens into the dealer's 6 was not one of them.

Freshman guard Ray Penn is starting to assert himself at the point.   He took three huge shots to help the Cowboys get over the hump and beat Bradley.

James Anderson continues to show the versatility that is going to make him a first-round NBA pick.   He was named MVP of the tournament.

More than anything, though, is that Travis Ford has that young ballclub defending.   They are guarding people and it's the young guys who are really guarding.   That bodes well for the future.

A big test at Tulsa on Wednesday and then former OSU guard Brooks Thompson brings his very good UTSA club to Stillwater Saturday.
