The season tips off for Travis Ford’s second OSU squad here at Gallagher-Iba Arena in about an hour and it looks like Keiton Page will play. The Cowboys can use the sophomore sharpshooter from Pawnee (doesn’t that sound like a classic sportscaster/sportwriter line). He sprained his left ankle against UCO a week ago, the first time he says he’s suffered that kind of injury, and the biggest part for him is getting over the mental hurdle. His experience in the backcourt is an asset with all those freshmen running around. Travis Ford says it’s been a rollercoaster ride with the young guys in practice.Seattle will feature Charles Garcia, a 6-10 pro prospect who can score from anywhere. Marshall Moses will draw the defensive assignment, but he’ll have help. It’s the opening game for OSU in the Las Vegas Invitational, you know, one of those invitationals that begins on college campuses?and then ends in a big city. 2 here, 2 there. After this?it’s over to Boone Pickens Stadium for the prime time football showdown between the Cowboys and Texas Tech.May 26th, 2011
