Excuse Thunder guard Kevin Ollie if he doesn’t unpack his bags and make himself comfortable in Oklahoma City.  He has been with 10 NBA teams in 11 seasons.  He has never averaged more than 8 points and 3 rebounds per game (2002-2003 Seattle) in any NBA season.  So why will he make an impact on the Thunder this season?

The former University of Connecticut star is the perfect fit for the Thunder and young backcourt stars Russell Westbrook and James Harden.  Ollie is a pro’s pro.  He also has a relationship with new Thunder assistant Maurice Cheeks who was brought in to help tutor that young backcourt.  When Cheeks was coaching the 76ers back in 2005-2006.  Who better to help pass along Cheeks’ message to the youngsters?

Funny at media day?Russell Westbrook said that rookie Serge Ibaka is learning English.  When asked if he (Westbrook) is helping out with that he said yes?you teach him the dirty words first and work from there.
