HUTCHINSON, Kansas -- FoxSports.com’s Jeff Goodmanreported via Twitter Wednesday that Oklahoma basketball signee Robert Goff has been released from his letter of intent by new coach Lon Kruger.
Goff is a 6-foot-9-inch forward who was rated a three-star recruit by Rivals.com. He signed his letter of intent in September one week after making his official visit to Norman.
Kruger joined the OU staff earlier this month and has since added three transfers – Casey Arent, Cam Grooms and Amath M’Baye – that put the team over its scholarship limit. Releasing Goff from his letter of intent will bring the Sooners back to their allowed amount.
Goff made only one other official visit during his previous recruitment, and that was to Wichita State. But he also drew from interest from Indiana, Iowa State, Ohio State and Western Kentucky.
