FORT WORTH, Texas – The Sooners might have topped their most impressive win of the season on Tuesday – against the same team.

OU took down No. 7 TCU 7-4 on the road Tuesday night, winning their fourth-straight game.

The Sooners beat the Horned Frogs just two weeks earlier as well. OU hosted then-No. 9 TCU on April 12 and came away with an impressive 13-6 victory.

But this time, the Sooners did it on the road, controlling the game early and holding off a late Horned Frogs mini-rally.

Garrett Buechele got the scoring going in the top of the first for OU, doubling to bring home Caleb Bushyhead for a 1-0 lead.

The Sooners kept it up in the second as well, scoring two runs, both unearned. TCU certainly did its part to help Oklahoma out, committing four errors in the game.

TCU picked up a run each in the second, third and fourth innings.

But Oklahoma sustained its offense throughout the game.

Eric Ross brought in Evan Mistich in the sixth to take a 5-3 lead, and OU took advantage of even more errors in the eighth and ninth.

Casey Johnson scored in the eighth on a throwing error and Ross came home on a balk in the ninth.

TCU managed to get two runners on with no outs in the bottom of the ninth, but left a couple on base to end the game.

OU recorded just four RBIs despite scoring the seven runs.

Bobby Shore got the win on the mound for OU, throwing three innings and giving up four hits.

Andrew Mitchell of TCU got the loss.

Oklahoma will begin the Red River Rivalry series at Texas on Friday. First pitch is set for 6 p.m.
