SAN ANTONIO -- The Tulsa Drillers fell to .500 on the season Tuesday after a 3-2 loss at the hands of the San Antonio Missions to cap off a six-game road trip.

After San Antonio’s (7-5) first two batters were retired in the bottom of the first, Kyle Blanks send a line-drive double to center field. Two at-bats later, Vincent Belnome singled to center field to bring Blanks home from second and take a 1-0 lead.

The Missions added to their lead in the bottom of the second thanks to an Ali Solis leadoff home run to left field.

Tulsa (6-6) tied the game in the top of the third thanks to long balls from Tim Wheeler and Ben Paulsen, but those were the last of the game for the Drillers.

San Antonio took the lead in the bottom of the eighth by playing small ball to create offense. Back-to-back walks put James Darnell on second and a sacrifice bunt from Sawyer Carrol put him on third base, setting up the go-ahead run. Kyle Phillips hit a sacrifice fly to right field to bring Darnell home and take a 3-0 advantage.

Alexis Lara (1-0) was credited with his first win of the season Tuesday, giving up two hits in his one inning pitched. Joe Torres (0-1) received a loss Tuesday, giving up one earned run in .1 innings pitched for Tulsa.

The Drillers return home for a four-game home stand, starting at 7:05 p.m. Wednesday.
