OKLAHOMA CITY – The RedHawks started the game well and ended it well, but that simply wasn’t enough.

The Round Rock Express, whose roster consists mainly of former RedHawks players, took down the new RedHawks 6-2 on Tuesday in OKC.

During the offseason, the former RedHawks roster went to Round Rock to become the new Triple-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers.

Meanwhile, Oklahoma City got a new roster and became the affiliate of the Houston Astros.

So fans in OKC got to see some familiar faces on Tuesday, but those familiar faces outplayed the home team.

The RedHawks got on the board first, with Tommy Manzella finding home plate on a throwing error from Round Rock.

But OKC scored just once in the first and once in the ninth, leaving a gap in between that was too big to make up for.

Round Rock rattled off three runs in the second and three more in the fourth, and that was all it needed.

Tommy Manzella went 3-for-3 with a run for OKC, but his teammates combined for just two more hits total.

Sergio Perez got the loss for Oklahoma City (4-8) while Neil Ramirez picked up the win for Round Rock.

The teams will meet again Wednesday night at 7:05 p.m. in OKC.
