ORU Edges Past UARL 15-14
The Golden Eagles narrowly escaped the Trojans Tuesday, edging past UARL 15-14.

LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas -- The Oral Roberts Golden Eagles improved to 11-11 on the season after beating the UARL Trojans 15-14.
ORU got on the board first, putting up one run in the top of the first, but UARL answered back with three runs in the bottom of the inning. By the top of the sixth, the Golden Eagles trailed 6-5.
Both teams’ bats came to life in the sixth, with each squad posting seven runs. It wasn’t until the top of the seventh when the Golden Ealges scored two runs, that the Trojans relinquished the lead. Oral Roberts’ took the 14-13 lead and built on it. A lone run in the top of the eighth inning sealed the Trojans’ loss.
San Johnson earned the win for Oral Roberts after tossing 2.2 innings, allowing three hits and striking out two batters.
Bubba Cooper finished with the loss, having pitched 2 innings, allowing one run on one hit and striking out three batters.
ORU next hosts Centenary on April 8 in a three-game series. Game one begins at 6:30 p.m.
