STILLWATER, Okla. – Oklahoma State second baseman Davis Duren was named the Big 12 Conference Player of the Week for games played March 28-April 3, the league announced Monday.
Oklahoma State won three of its four games during the week, including taking a series at Nebraska for the first time since 1997.
Duren hit .471 with two home runs and seven RBIs during the week.
He had multiple hits in all three contests against Nebraska, and went 3-for-4 with four RBIs in the series-clinching win on Saturday.
The award is the fourth Big 12 award of the year for the Cowboys. Gabe Weidenaar and Chris Marlowe earned Big 12 Newcomer of the Week honors and pitcher Brad Propst was named Big 12 Pitcher of the Week on March 28.
OSU will play a non-conference Bedlam game on Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m. in Norman.
