STILLWATER, Oklahoma -- Oklahoma State’s Toni Young suffered a season-ending injury during a team practice Friday.
The sophomore was attempting a two-handed dunk during an OSU workout inside Gallagher-Iba Arena when she broke her arm, according to a source close to Oklahoma Sports's John Holcomb.
“It was a tremendous dunk. She had five or six really spectacular ones today and I think it was her best of the year. Unfortunately, she came down wrong and injured herself,” OSU head coach Kurt Budke said. “I hate it for Toni and I hate it for our team. We overcame Vicky’s (McIntyre) absence against Pepperdine and someone will have to step up if we are going to win against a quality Wyoming team.”
The Cowgirls are taking part in the WNIT and won their first-round game against Pepperdine Wednesday. Young led all players with 34 points and 18 rebounds in that game.

OSU will face Wyoming in the second round at 8 p.m. Monday.
