ORU Falls 6-2 to SIU-Edwardsville
Golden Eagles won the first two games of the series but couldn't complete the sweep.

TULSA, Okla. – The Golden Eagles failed to complete a sweep of SIU-Edwardsville on Sunday, falling 6-2 to the Cougars.
It was the first win of the season for Edwardsville (1-5).
ORU (3-4) failed to convert with runners on base, going just 2-for-10 with people in scoring position and grounding into two double plays.
The Golden Eagles left 12 runners on base on the day.
The Cougars started off quickly, driving in two runs on a single from Joel Greatting to give his team a 2-0 lead.
They led off the fourth inning with a homer to go up 3-0 before ORU finally got on the board in the seventh.
Brandon King picked up a single with two outs in the bottom of the inning to pull to within two, but it was downhill from there for the Golden Eagles.
Edwardsville knocked in three more runs in the top of the next inning to take a commanding lead before ORU managed just one more in the bottom of the eighth.
Bryce Smolen picked up the loss for Oral Roberts, giving up three runs and six hits in 5.2 innings on the mound.
Travis Felix picked up his first win of the year for Edwardsville, shutting out the Golden Eagles for five innings and allowing five hits.
ORU will take the field again on Friday when it travels to Memphis for the first game of the Memphis Classic at 4:30 p.m.
