STILLWATER, Oklahoma -- The Oklahoma State men’s basketball is helping the fight against cancer by partnering with Coaches vs. Cancer to host SWISH Day.
During the Cowboys’ game against Texas Tech this Saturday, four children currently battling cancer will shoot hoops to raise funds and awareness. Each child will have a “celebrity” on hand to rebound or shoot for them.
Coaches vs. Cancer will also pass buckets around throughout the arena during the first time out to collect funds which will go to the American Cancer Society. All funds collected in Saturday’s event will go directly to fund research, education and patient services within Oklahoma.
Morgan Snowden, a 10-year-old cancer survivor, will also be selling sets of eight note cards she designed for the cause, costing $10. The note cards are also available for purchase at Joes’ Clothes, DuPrees and Chris’ University.
