Kansas Overcomes Late Deficit to Top Cowgirls
The Jayhawks trailed early, but went on a run in the game's final 10 minutes to grab a win.

STILLWATER, Oklahoma -- The Oklahoma State Cowgirls held a slim lead in the second half, but a Kansas comeback led to a 73-66 loss Wednesday marking their third consecutive loss.
The Cowgirls led 49-45 with 10 minutes left to play, but the Jayhawks strung together a 9-4 run to take its first lead of the second half with six minutes left to play. That began a series of lead changes that would last for nearly three minutes.
But then the offense dried up for OSU.
Kansas scored the game’s next seven points while keeping the Cowgirls off of the board to take a 65-59 lead with 50 seconds left on the clock.
Toni Young led all scorers with 20 points and eight rebounds, while Vicky McIntyre scored 18 points, grabbed seven boards and blocked five shots in the loss.
Aisha Sutherland and Angel Goodrich set the pace for the Jayhawks with 14 points each. Sutherland patrolled the boards, grabbing seven rebounds and Goodrich paced the offense with five assists.
Oklahoma State will try to snap its losing streak on the road at 5 p.m. Saturday against the Texas Tech Red Raiders.
