Oral Roberts Drops Second Consecutive Game

The Golden Eagles continue to struggle without the aid of sophomore star Jaci Bingham.

KANSAS CITY, Missouri -- Oral Roberts fell behind four points in the first half, which turned out to be the final differential, falling to University of Missouri – Kansas City 81-77.

The loss marks the second consecutive for the Golden Eagles, who may be reeling from the loss of Jaci Bingham.

It played out to be a by-the-books four, point loss, the Kangaroos knocked down two more shots from the floor in the first half, leading to a 42-38 halftime lead.

In the second half, Oral Roberts took a lead with five to play, but UMKC was able to retake the lead and extend their win streak to three games.

ORU’s Kevi Luper led all scorers with 20 points, while grabbing three rebounds and two steals, while Amber Carver contributed 17 points and 15 boards coming off of the bench in the loss.

Dayon Hall-Jones set the pace for the Kangaroos with 16 points. Kaycie Boyles added 13 points and five rebounds with Kim Nezianya only scored seven and grabbed 13 points.

The Golden Eagles will continue their road trip and try to snap their win streak at 2 p.m. Saturday against Centenary in Shreveport, Louisiana.
