OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Oklahoma City RedHawks’ new MLB affiliate, the Houston Astros, made a stop in Oklahoma City as part of its yearly caravan tour.

Making the trip were pitchers Brandon Lyon and Bud Norris, manager Brad Mills, hall-of-fame broadcaster Milo Hamilton and 2010 Minor League Pitcher of the Year Jordan Lyles.

In addition to meeting with RedHawks season ticket holders, the Astros contingent visited the Children’s Hospital at OU Medical Center and the Jimmy Everest Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders in Children Tuesday afternoon.

Wednesday, players will visit an area elementary school and Tinker Air Force Base as part of their tour of the Oklahoma City-area.

The RedHawks will open their season April 7 in Memphis Redbirds and will play their home opener April 15 against the Albuquerque Isotopes.
