TULSA, Oklahoma -- According to InsideTulsaSports.com, Arkansas offensive coordinator Garrick McGee has been offered the Tulsa head coaching position.
The source says that McGee has already or is close-to accepting the offer and will be announced as the team’s head coach at a press conference Friday.
When asked for a comment, Tulsa Athletics responded that as of Thursday evening they had yet to call a press conference.
The former OU quarterback and Booker T. Washington graduate spent one year as the offensive coordinator and three as the quarterbacks coach for the Razorbacks. In his one season calling plays at Arkansas, the team ranked ninth in the nation averaging 482.54 per contest.
Oklahoma Sports will update as details become available.
