TULSA, Okla. – Golden Hurricane wide receiver Damaris Johnson and linebacker Curnelius Arnick both made CBSSports.com’s All-Bowl team for their performances in the Hawaii Bowl.
Tulsa pulled off a surprising 62-35 blowout of the Hawaii Warriors on Dec. 24 to finish the season 10-3.
Johnson had a career-high 326 all-purpose yards, which was fitting because he also broke the NCAA’s career all-purpose yardage record in the win. His production was incredibly balanced, rushing for 98 yards, posting 101 receiving yards and returning kicks for 127 yards.
Johnson has already surpassed a number of conference and national records but will return to Tulsa for his senior season.
Linebacker Curnelius Arnick helped to slow down the normally high-powered Hawaii offense, racking up 10 tackles, two sacks and two interceptions.
Arnick, who will be a junior this upcoming season, took one of the interceptions back 54 yards for a touchdown in the victory.
